Sandals Saint Vincent: The Caribbean’s Best Kept Secret (Until Now!)

Listen, I just got back from Sandals Saint Vincent last month, and I’m still not over it. As the newest Sandals property AND the only all-inclusive on the entire island, this place is seriously special. I’ve personally visited 14 Sandals properties (occupational hazard, I know), and this one instantly jumped to my top three. Let me tell you why you need this resort on your bucket list.

This Isn’t Your Typical Tourist Trap

Saint Vincent is the Caribbean most travelers haven’t discovered yet, and that’s exactly what makes it magical. No crowds, no tourist traps—just pure, unspoiled paradise.

The resort sits in its own private cove with mountains as the backdrop (my clients’ photos literally look fake, they’re that gorgeous). What makes this location so unique? You’re getting both the rainforest AND the beach experience in one trip. The contrast between the lush green mountains and crystal-clear water is honestly breathtaking.

Fun fact: Parts of Pirates of the Caribbean were filmed here! I took the excursion to see the filming locations, and it was surreal walking the same beaches as Johnny Depp. Makes for a great Instagram caption, just saying.

While Saint Vincent is known for dramatic black sand beaches (volcanic island things), Sandals created their own private white sand beach within their cove. Best of both worlds—you get that classic Caribbean beach experience at the resort, but can easily explore the island’s more unique shores on excursions.

These Rooms Are Actually Insane

I toured all 15 room categories at Saint Vincent (yes, ALL of them), and they’ve completely reimagined what luxury rooms can be. These aren’t just places to sleep—they’re experiences.

The two-story overwater butler villas blew my mind. At 1,248 square feet, they’re massive, with rainforest views from the back and ocean views from the front. The second-floor deck has these hanging day beds suspended right over the water. I spent an entire afternoon there with a book and completely lost track of time. Worth. Every. Penny.

Here’s something I haven’t seen at ANY other resort: some suites have dedicated media rooms with 75-inch TVs and killer sound systems. Perfect for movie nights or catching the game without turning your bedroom into a man cave. My husband was literally researching how to recreate this setup at home while we were still on property.

For my fitness-obsessed clients, certain suites come with private Technogym fitness rooms. Not just a sad little corner with a yoga mat—actual exercise bikes and customized workout programs. No need to leave your room or stick to gym hours.

Even the entry-level rooms start at 580 square feet (that’s huge in resort standards), and every single accommodation has one of those famous Tranquility Soaking Tubs either on the balcony or patio. And yes, they’re actually big enough for two adults with a bottle of champagne (thoroughly tested by yours truly).

The Food Scene Is No Joke

With 12 restaurants, you could eat somewhere different for lunch and dinner every day of a 6-night stay. But trust me, you’ll find favorites you’ll want to revisit.

They’ve introduced some exclusive new concepts here that I haven’t seen at other Sandals:

Three Jewels is a rum bar that will convert even non-rum drinkers. Their rum flight experience taught me more about Caribbean rum in one night than my previous 32 years on earth. The bartenders are passionate and knowledgeable without being pretentious.

Imoro was my personal obsession—it’s a green bowl and salad bar concept that was perfect for lunch after too many cocktails the night before. Health food that actually tastes amazing (and makes for a great Instagram story).

Of course, they’ve got the Sandals staples like Butch’s Steakhouse and the Jerk Shack, but everything feels elevated here. The food at Scrimshaw was some of the freshest seafood I’ve ever had—from ocean to plate in hours, not days.

What makes dining here special is how they incorporate local ingredients across all restaurants. Saint Vincent’s volcanic soil produces fruits and vegetables with incredible flavor. You can literally taste the difference.

And yes, all the premium liquors are included without limits. I watched someone order Macallan 12 every night with dinner. No upcharges, no side-eye from staff—just top-shelf everything.

Adventures That Make Epic Stories

While I’ve definitely helped clients book Sandals trips where they never left their swim-up suite (no judgment), Saint Vincent is really for travelers who want that perfect balance of luxury AND adventure.

Everything you’d expect is included: scuba diving (if certified), snorkeling, kayaking, Hobie Cats, paddleboarding, and even waterskiing. But the real magic happens when you explore beyond the resort.

I hiked La Soufrière volcano, and it was genuinely one of the most incredible experiences of my life. Standing at the crater of an active volcano is humbling in the best possible way. Not for the faint of heart (it’s a serious hike), but absolutely worth it if you’re reasonably fit.

The Anchor Reef snorkeling trip showed me black coral formations I had never seen before in 15+ years of Caribbean travel. The marine life here hasn’t been disturbed by overtourism, and it shows.

If you’re into history, the ancient petroglyphs tour gives you a glimpse into the island’s original inhabitants. I found this unexpectedly moving—connecting with people who lived here centuries ago.

All these excursions can be arranged through Island Routes right at the resort. My tip? Book them early in your stay in case weather reschedules anything.

When You Need to Just Chill

Between adventures, the resort has mastered the art of relaxation. There are distinct zones for different vibes—lively pools with swim-up bars if you’re feeling social, and secluded corners when you want peace and quiet.

I splurged on a treatment at Red Lane Spa (not included, but worth it), and they use local ingredients in many of their signature services. My massage incorporated volcanic hot stones that were straight-up magical for my perpetually tight shoulders.

The evening entertainment isn’t the cheesy stuff you might expect—they showcase authentic Saint Vincent culture through music and dance. I learned more about the island’s history during these performances than I would have from any guidebook.

Who Should Book Saint Vincent?

After helping 1,600+ clients find their perfect vacations, I can tell you exactly who will fall in love with Sandals Saint Vincent:

• Nature lovers and adventure seekers who want luxury as their home base for exploration

• Design enthusiasts who appreciate innovative accommodations (those media rooms and fitness suites are game-changers)

• Couples celebrating something special who want exclusivity and privacy

• Sandals loyalists looking for something fresh within a brand they trust

• First-time all-inclusive guests who want to set the bar impossibly high

Let’s Talk Logistics

Getting here is easier than you might think. There are nonstop flights from Miami, New York, and Toronto, with easy connections from most major US cities.

Rates start around $404 per person per night for entry-level rooms. Those jaw-dropping two-story overwater villas run about $1,614 per person per night. But here’s where my expertise comes in handy—I know when Sandals runs their best promotions, and can often score my clients significant savings (I’m talking thousands on a 7-night stay).

The beauty of Sandals’ all-inclusive concept is that once you arrive, your wallet stays in the safe. Everything from gourmet dining and premium drinks to water sports and entertainment is covered. The only extras you might consider are spa treatments, off-property excursions, or private candlelight dinners.

The Bottom Line

Sandals Saint Vincent isn’t just another resort—it’s a completely new vision for luxury Caribbean travel. It perfectly balances untouched natural beauty with innovative accommodations and thoughtful amenities.

I’ve helped 87 couples book this resort since it opened, and the feedback has been overwhelming. “Worth every penny,” “best vacation of our lives,” and “when can we go back?” are phrases I keep hearing.

For couples wanting to venture beyond the usual Caribbean hotspots without sacrificing luxury, Saint Vincent delivers big time. It’s remote enough to feel like a true escape, but with all the comfort and service that makes a vacation actually feel like vacation.

Let’s get your countdown started! Your future self will thank you.
